An adviser to Mr McCain, Steve Schmidt, said his candidate believed the statement was "nothing short of breathtaking", and that it was "hard to imagine someone running for president who is more out of touch with average Americans". Taken from here.
All I can say is, what prey tell is an "Average American"? Last time I checked this country was a huge fucking miss-mass of people from all over. Even those "flag waving, if you don't like it gitouttahere, pick-up truck driving" folk's ancestors were from another country. I hate fucking labels. The only ones who you can call an "Average American" are those who were here when we got here, or some stupid shit like that. I'm not against these people per se, but when they try to force their thoughts and so called "morals" on me. Then we have a problem. I had a point somewhere. Oh well in the words of someone far wiser than myself, "Fuck it".

Yeah. I'm pretty done with politics. Jennifer and I were talking about labels the other day. There is just so much out there. I'm tired of people pigeonholing stuff.
